A unique tribute to the original ASUS Crosshair.

Technically, this isn't a new motherboard, since it's based on the ROG CROSSHAIR X870E DARK HERO, which is another one of those motherboards that anyone would dream of using to build a new PC. What is true, however, is that the retro-mod design of this variant is undoubtedly spectacular and takes us old-timers back to those good old days when the whole enthusiast hardware scene was just starting to take off. A gem with an exclusive feel, thanks to its incredible design that combines the latest technology—featuring an OLED display—with a retro aesthetic, complete with gold heat sinks and blue and white grooves.

The ASUS ROG Crosshair 2006 is an exceptional anniversary motherboard that combines a retro copper design with modern technological peaks. It offers extremely strong VRM, perfect temperatures, top-tier connectivity, PCIe 5.0, USB4, 10GbE, Wi-Fi 7, and an integrated informational OLED display instead of RGB. It is a board for enthusiasts, collectors, and demanding users who want something more.

Right now, probably the best-looking motherboard for AMD processors. A truly worthy celebration of twenty years of ROG and the Crosshair series.

In any case, the ASUS ROG Crosshair 2006 is probably the best-looking ASUS ROG motherboard in a very long time. At the same time, it is built on an excellent, proven, modern, and robust foundation and is one of the best, if not the best, mainstream ATX motherboards on the market, running on what is currently the very best PC platform available. So if you can stomach the rather hefty price tag, we highly recommend it.
