Yes, as the subtitle of this article suggests, the ROG Flow is undoubtedly my favorite PC from Asus. I'm a huge fan of its portability and the fact that, despite its small size, it lets you play whatever you want without breaking a sweat... While the 2022 ROG Flow Z13 was promising... the 2025 version is becoming a standalone machine that is more powerful, smoother, and even smarter thanks to the integration of local AI. And all this without sacrificing mobility—quite the contrary.

With its ROG Flow Z13 vintage 2025, Asus seems to be doing better than in 2022, when it released the initial version of this gaming tablet. It has to be said that this time, the brand is taking advantage of the new AMD Strix Halo chips, which are decidedly well-suited to this type of hyper-mobile product. With its Ryzen AI Max+ 395, the Flow delivers a level of performance close to that of some previous-generation 16“ gaming notebooks... in the format of a 13” tablet...

Original and daring, the ROG Flow Z13 merges the strengths of a tablet and a gaming notebook, and delivers convincing performance for a device of its size. We also appreciate the quality of its IPS screen and the compactness of the whole, Asus having succeeded in a fascinating way in combining the best of both worlds.

The ROG Flow Z13 was already a unique product. But with the addition of the Ryzen AI Max, it proves that it's capable of developing phenomenal power despite the restrictions its format should force it to observe. No miracle on the autonomy for portability on heavy tasks, but enough to be quiet in office automation and multimedia to take advantage of this sublime screen.

We were impressed with Asus' proposal as soon as it was presented. This test only confirms our first impression. What we have here is a tablet PC that's cut out for office work, a bit of retouching or editing, and video games, all in an extremely compact, featherweight package.

I love it!

I'm excited about the Strix Halo APU itself, and I'm looking forward to other devices that will allow it to breathe more. However, even this way in a tablet, the performance is extremely good, the performance is similar to a large 18" laptop, which is great.
